"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven ... He [God] made everything beautiful in its time." (Eccl. 3:1, 11)

To Everything There Is A Season ...

God is a God of purpose. In the beginning, He had a specific purpose for every creation. So what needs to be sought is "Why am I here?" in this specific season. Purpose and timing are the most important things that determine your fulfillment in life. In Eccles. 8:5 the Bible teaches that "Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment." A discerned time and purpose will cause you to do the right thing at the right time in the right way.

Imagine a toddler begging you for a hundred dollar bill. Of course, you wouldn't allow this to happen since the child is not responsible enough to handle, in fact, any kind of cash at all. So often we pray for things that the Lord wouldn't allow us to have, because He knows it that it is not the right season. So what do you have to do? Begin to understand the season that you are in. Discern what He wants you to do in that season and do it in a right way. In Luke 12:56-57 Jesus said, "Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?" Let me rephrase what He said, "You can see the face of the sky and predict the natural climate, but why don't you seek God's face and bring an impact on the spiritual climate?" Pray that you would know how to run your life according to God's timing.

The enemy always tries to get you do something before its time, as he did with Jesus. So stay focused in the purpose that God has set for this particular season that you are in. Start were you are right now and let God begin to transform your life like never before!
