You might say, “Which Joseph are you talking about?” I am talking about the Joseph of the Bible. The dreamer boy in Jacobs house (Genesis 37). One who spent all of his life to save his family, his nation and stand in the gap to fulfill the eternal purpose of God. He could have lived for himself and yet chose to sacrifice his comfort zone, his success, his will and his title for the sake of the Kingdom of God. He understood that life is best lived when you do God’s will.

Our generation also cries for Josephs of the hour — believers who are willing to start unnoticed and finish unnoticed and yet make a difference. It was never Joseph's intention to take credit for what he was willing to go through. In fact, in Psalms 78:67-68 it is written, “Then he [God] rejected the tents of Joseph, he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim; but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved.” (Emphasis added) It looks so unfair for God to choose Judah when it was Joseph who took the suffering, but Joseph was satisfied with fulfilling God’s plan. Life loses its meaning when it is all about you. “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)

Live to impact your generation. Appreciate your humble beginning. Be fruitful at all times with whatever you have at the moment. Don’t let your circumstance overshadow you but be overwhelmed by the beauty, majesty and eternal purpose of God. Instead of being conscious of people, self, sin, or Satan, be a God-conscious person. Focus on the big picture everyday and devout your day to fit today’s puzzle in its place as you continue to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Rise up and be the JOSEPH of the hour!

God bless you,
