Call to Evangelism

Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Matt. 9:37-38)

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

 

The harvest is plenty ... According to this scripture, it is very encouraging to know that there are more people out there who are ready to hear the Gospel than those who reject. Your passion for God and your compassion for the lost work together to accomplish the GREAT COMMISSION. People are in need of a Savior even though they may not know it. God will back you up if you arise to be the witness of the other for Jesus. Heaven will back you up as you bring the saving message of the Gospel.

 

Since the harvest is plenty, you can do two things by the grace of God ...

 

Respond with a "Here am I send me" for the lack of laborers ... You don't have to be great to accomplish great things but you can have a great God to do wonders. Don't do anything for the Lord, just give yourself to Him and let Him worry about the rest! Nobody is not going to be around forever. Our time on earth is temporary but if we give it to Him, He will accomplish things that will continue to resonate in eternity. With Him involved in your life, you will begin to do things beyond your imagination. If there is one thing that will make you happy, it is to do the will of the Father and one of the most important ones is winning souls! Have a plan in your life to win the lost and start with one person. Pray, fast, invest your time, gift, talents and money to fulfill this great mission.

 

Ask the Lord of the harvest ... The second most important step you should take with regards to evangelism is to pray for more workers. I want you to be encourage in knowing that as you pray more of this prayer, He will send more laborers. Because He said, "PRAY!" Don't let any demonic lies stop you from believing that your prayer makes a difference. Your Father in heaven will hear and respond. As we need to respond for the call of evangelism, He will also respond to this prayer. I encourage you to trust God's word instead of what you see around you and act accordingly.

 

May the Lord use you to bring the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to many!
