Brief History
It all began in mother church Emmanuel Worship Center, New York. The Lord gave a vision to Pastor Mulugeta Abate, who was the senior Pastor at the time, to plant a local church in New Jersey (Currently, he is the pastor of the church he planted in Silver Spring, MD - Addis Kidan Christ's Church).
After a lot of prayer and guidance, EWCNJ was planted on May 18, 2003 as a night time outreach center and later on October 2003 as a fellowship. By June 2006, it became one of EWC's local churches in New Jersey.
Currently, all our services are in Amharic (Ethiopian language) except for Children's Sunday School classes (Ages 4-17). Your visit will allow you to experience a deeper sense of worship, prayer and wisdom of God's Living Word. Our services are open for all.
